Plasma and Red Blood Cell PUFAs in Home Parenteral Nutrition Paediatric Patients-Effects of Lipid Emulsions.

The aim of the study was to assess glycerophosfolipid polyunsaturated fatty acids levels on plasma and red blood cell membrane of children on long term parenteral nutrition with composite mixed lipid emulsions containing fish oil, and to compare it with a group receiving olive oil LE (Clinoleic R) and to the reference range for age, previously determined on a group of healthy children.
