In this commentary, we provide an overview of key clinical study findings regarding copper's role in Alzheimer’s disease pathogenesis, focusing on the effect of indiscriminate use of copper in nutritional supplements/parenteral nutrition on CNS functioning with discussion of future prospects/challenges.
