Studies have shown that teduglutide on increasing urine production and reduced need for parenteral support volume in patients with short bowel syndrome with intestinal failure, increasing intestinal wet weight absorption and reducing diarrhea varies among patients. This study identifies the characteristics of patients in whom teduglutide has the largest effects on parenteral support volume response.
